Over 25 Organizations Will Receive Funding

 

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation is awarding cash grants totaling over $130,500 to 29 domestic pet programs across the United States. Funding for the grants is provided by the Bearemy Kennel Pals® program. With the sale of each full-sized Bearemys Kennel Pals® frienda collection of Build-A-Bear Workshop® plush dogsone dollar is donated to local animal shelters, stray pet rescue and rehabilitation organizations, and pet education programs.

Build-A-Bear Workshop Guests are helping real pets just by making a Bearemys Kennel Pals furry friend. It is a privilege to partner with Guests in supporting organizations that lend a helping paw to pets, said Dorrie Krueger, president of the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation.

Since the inception of the Bearemy Kennel Pals® program in 2001, more than $2.7 million has been awarded to 300 animal welfare organizations. Funding is made available to animal groups in the United States and Canada through a quarterly grant process.
